Ted Haggard Announces Announcement

Ted Haggard's publicist said today that the ousted founder of New Life Church will announce plans for his future at a press conference at his Colorado Springs home Wednesday morning.
Haggard's spokesman said he would make a "surprising" and "groundbreaking" announcement with his family.
Ted Haggard and his wife Gayle on April 29 incorporated a new church, St. James, sited at their home at 1865 Old Ranch Road.
At the time, Ted Haggard said it was done for accounting purposes as the couple managed dual speaking careers. However, Haggard did tell the Colorado Springs Gazette that he likely would return to ministry one day and wouldn't rule out that St. James would one day be a real church.
Haggard was founder and senior pastor at the New Life megachurch for 25 years until revelations about his relationship with a male prostitute and allegations about illegal drug purchases led to what he has called his exile in Arizona.
"Excommunicated from his church, Ted disappeared into obscurity for the next two years," spokeswoman Amy Prenner said in a press release. "Now, after three and a half years, Ted is back with a surprising announcement."
The Haggards held two prayer meetings at their home in November, which attracted more than 100 people each time — overflow crowds for the couple's living room and even their second venue, the barn.
Ted Haggard has a probable announcement of a new ministry or church. Since it is well known that he has incorporated last month, what could be the big deal? I think the big deal could be that Ted Haggard wants to minister to people, and that some people, as many as a hundred, want him to minister them. Is it time to let Ted Haggard alone to his own life? Has he and his wife suffered or been punished enough? When will it be enough? For those of us that believe in God and follow Jesus, is there a possibility of restoration from such a fall as Haggard had? If you fell from such a place would you expect God to lift you out of the pit you put yourself in? How far does the grace of God extend? The answer is: far enough to reach you, I hope.
