Paranoia about Sarah Palin

Barbara Bush wishes Sarah Palin would just stay in Alaska. I presume Barbara feels it is now Jeb's turn to be nominated as the GOP candidate for president in 2012. New York Times theater critic Frank Rich also fears a Palin candidacy. Tunku Varadarajan tries to understand the "Sarah Palin Paranoia" problem here.

  1. Bob, I do agree that Sarah Palin is a lightning rod. I have some serious beefs with her though. 1. At this point I wish she would have "stayed in Alaska" to get more experience. She's just a conservative Barack Obama right now, no experience and talks real good. Even King David killed a lion, and a bear and other animals getting experience before taking on Goliath. Sarah Palin has little of this experience and if American has learned anything, sounding good does not mean being a good leader. Anyone, including me, can be an arm chair quarterback. I wish she would actually do something meaningful, rather than commentate, including being a good mother and teaching her kids not to get pregnant before marriage. Doing that would go a long way in preparing her to take on bigger responsibilities. Right now the conservative have one meaningful front running candidate and that is Newt Gingrich, who has the experience and the intellect to be president, and yes he has skeletons too.
