The people who are putting together the
new version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disoders, Fifth Edition, are removing several popular diagnoses, including Narcissistic, Paranoid, Schizoid, Histrionic and Dependent Personality Disorders. Is that because these disorders are so common now that they almost seem normal?
Here's how it works, Bob. The Narcissistic, Paranoid, and Schizoid people are the therapists, and the Histrionic and Dependents are the patients. Since this is proven to be Nature's way of arranging things, why call them disorders anymore? Now go be a good boy and take your medicine!
